Truth, you guys will win the title next season, Jose always wins the title in his second season. I have been to Old Trafford, really amazing stadium and atmosphere (unlike the other half of Manchester and their empty seats). Even going there as a Chelsea supporter, you cannot help but be awed by "The Theater Of Dreams. Fergie in my opinion was the best manger in the history of the sport, he won everything, multiple times, built awesome teams, did not tolerate egotistical players like Beckham, raised superstars like Ronaldo .Simply the best. Jewell, born and raised in London, Portobello Road/Notting Hill area. 1. I hope that is the case, but he at least kept the team in CL range in 1st season with the other teams. I don't blame Jose for this season though. It just shows how bad we are right now and I blame Moyes and LVG for our current state. It'd be great if we actually win the title next season, but I just want the team back in title race even if we don't win it. No more struggling to get 4th season after season. I also hope we can finish 4th this season or win the Europa if we end up 5th. Fergie is one of the reasons why I became an United fan. There will never be anyone like Fergie. Some people compare Wenger to Fergie, which is complete nonsense in my opinion. No league title in 13 years, never won CL, and currently 6th, yeah, incomparable. Hope you guys beat them 5-0 and win the double(though I wouldn't mind Wenger winning the FA cup if it means he will sign a new life-time contract lol). 2. So you're British, right?

No problem, nothing at all to apologize for.
Except maybe for rooting for any of the evil mega-corp big-money Goliaths. Give me a Millwall any day of the week!
Actually if you grew up in the neighborhood then fair enough, you're deserving.

Actually if you grew up in the neighborhood then fair enough, you're deserving. Are you British too, ajk? You'd have to be British to be a Millwall fan since international fans like me can't relate to local history or pride and just start supporting whatever big team becomes your favorite while watching the PL.

Nosir, not British at all; pure Chicago USA. But I'm a lifelong Oakland Raiders diehard and have always appreciated the blue-collar fanbases that have very deep passions for their teams. Can't claim to be a huge soccer fan at all but in some ways Millwall is the English soccer equivalent of the Raiders.
I didn't mean to fault you, if that's what it sounded like...I know people end up rooting for the teams they see on television and become familiar with. It just bugs me that most of the teams in these European soccer leagues have almost no chance of winning a title because a few teams have so much money. The Leicester thing was absolutely wonderful but the fun of it was that it was seemingly impossible.

The Leicester thing was absolutely wonderful but the fun of it was that it was seemingly impossible. I'm not saying you are faulting me at all, no worries. At least Leicester is in the Premier League, Millwall is in League One. Not only is it impossible for them to win PL, you can't even watch their games if you live outside of Britain. Most L1 games don't get broadcasted even in England, so you have to attend the games in person. Very hard to do for non-English fans. It's hard to root for a team when you can't even watch their games, not just Millwall but any League 1 or non-PL team for that matter. As for no chance of winning, Manchester United hasn't won a league title for 4 years now and I don't see it winning next year, either. Arsenal, another big PL team with big international fanbase, hasn't won for 13 years. Liverpool, also a big club, hasn't won for 27 years yet also has a huge international fanbase. If I wanted to root for a team that wins league almost every year, I'd be supporting Bayern, Juventus or Barcelona.

Oh we've had the same thing happen with our baseball teams. The Cubs have a huge non-local fan base despite going 108 years without a championship, all because their Chicago TV broadcaster WGN was one of the earliest stations to be offered widely on cable TV. The White Sox, hard to find a big Sox fan outside of Chicago because they never had a very good TV situation. Supposedly the Atlanta Braves have a lot of non-local fans too because of WTBS, same thing (although they did have a very good team in the 90s and that helped too). Especially if you have a nice stadium or a lot of local fans or some other such thing that makes for good television, those teams can pick up lots of TV fans outside of their markets.
You make a real good point about L1 teams not getting on TV. The lower PL teams don't get much coverage either, except as occasional fodder for the elites. It's understandable that viewers want to see the big star players but it's a shame that more teams can't get exposure outside the country.

Anyway, back to the episode....
I forgot to do it but I had meant to include a question about whether or not the "Can I call you brother?" scene was subtitled accurately or was something lost in the translation. I had a dim awareness that addressing people in Korean can have a lot of subtleties but I wasn't sure. Obviously it does. Thanks guys for the info about it. So it really doesn't clarify what Wola is hoping for, does it? Other than that she's still clinging to him. Seems like she's almost childlike in that way; just not very developed or mature emotionally.
All of the laughing when the bigshots get together...The same thing went on in Shin Don. A lot of nervous laughter in important situations, almost like it's done deliberately to avoid silence or try to deflect tension. Wondered about this when I was watching Shin Don; was it included just for the series or was it a quirk in how people really interacted at that time? This series deals with the same general time period (100 years later), and the same kind of behavior...is it historically accurate or is it just MBC presenting them both that way for consistency?
And yeah, jewel I agree about it looks like there will be heads butting over Wola. Things definitely seem to be headed in that direction. Let's just hope it doesn't become a major fixation, considering the complicated historical events that should be the focus of the series.

Do you understand my disdain for this so called character?

Well honestly not yet. I still have all of the sympathy for the pain of having her world collapse around her. And her not being very developed emotionally, that's nothing to hate somebody for. It depends on how much the series is going to push her into the storyline because so far it's not much of a story arc at all. In this episode it was too much, no question.
But now we're getting into spoiler territory so I'll just say I reserve judgment and leave it at that. Not disagreeing with you at all, just holding off.

Yeah well...there are lots of characters in fiction whose life has been essentially destroyed and yet I can't bring bring myself to sympathize with some of theme....I'm either the most heartless viewer whose ever lived or its a testament to just how flat the character is and how bluntly emotionally manipulative the makers are trying to be here.

Sometimes I feel like I must be a real *itch. Then again, I realize some people just don't deserve my precious sympathy.
