Are you a Chicagoland high school teacher or a high school student interested in starting a Korean language program or a Korean club at your high school? If so, please consider attending the 2016 Korea High School Day on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at William Howard Taft High School in Chicago. This event will be hosted by the Korean Education Center within the office of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago, and it will offer activities and presentations on Korean history, Korean language, Korean literature, Hallyu, Korean food, and more! Admission is FREE.
There are two ways to register: as a high school teacher or as a high school student.
To register, please email koreahsday@gmail.com. In your email, please note the following:
- What is your name?
- What is your email address, home mailing address, and phone number?
- Are you a high school teacher or a high school student? (Sorry! This event is for high school teachers and students only. Please bring your school ID.)
- At what high school do you teach, or which high school do you attend? Please provide the full name of your high school (e.g. William H. Taft High School rather than Taft High School).
- If you are a high school teacher, how many students will you bring along with you, if any? Please provide the names of the students. (There are incentives for teachers brining ten or more students.)
- If you are a high school student, how many classmates will you bring along with you, if any? Please provide the names of your classmates.
Please RSVP ASAP because space is limited. Those who attend will receive super cool Korean freebies!
