Another kid episode. Not really a lot to say about this one. Looking forward to the story moving on and getting to more important things. Yes they're setting up characters and storylines going forward, but it's just not all that engaging right now. And the two boys getting abused and mistreated, maybe it's historically fair to portray that but does anybody else feel like there's a little more of it than we need to see?
Enough with the floodlights for the night scenes! Sheesh.
You can see what's coming, we'll get a martial arts battle between Goong-bok and the girl's brother for a job with Madam Jami. Hope it's worth the buildup. And speaking of that, wow didn't it seem a little cold of the sister to tell her brother she wouldn't put in a good word for him? Okay the guy's kind of a hothead but still, he's the only family she has left. Especially after her sitting on that hillside and feeling so sad about having lost her mom, I was real surprised she stiffed him like that.
Good heavens, we've seen some rough stuff in these historicals, but that guy getting dismembered is maybe the most gruesome thing ever.
First the pop ballads and now a whiny electric guitar? Uh-oh. Not liking either at all.
p.s. Never seen anybody milk a horse before!

You're telling me! They totally tricked me into thinking the kiddie episodes were done with in the last episode. Why'd they show the grown-up actors at the end like that?? And the way this episode ended too made me really mad. Now I don't know if the kiddie episodes are over or not still, and I can't tell when the episode ends and the trailer for the next episode begins. Why are they showing all the future stuff already? I feel I'm totally being spoiled!!! I didn't really see it like that. I thought it was really out of place for him to ask her to put in a good word for him. Even though he says she's treated like a daughter, in her own way she is a slave too. And if she goes and asks for a favor then she puts herself in a place where she'll be obligated to this Madam Jami in the future and she doesn't want to be. And as her older brother he should've realized her precarious position and should try to protect her, not use her. Yeah this scene was very awful - I really just absolutely hate torture scenes like these. It's the way the princess' husband dies in The Princess' Man. Me neither! And then when he was squeezing the horse's ear I was like, "My god, is he milking his ear too?!" I really don't like the younger version of the main lead girl. Her face gives me the creeps and it's ten times worse when she smiles. Her teeth reminds me of little rat's teeth or something. Ugh. I was like I remember I saw her somewhere else and didn't like her then either and then it hit me - I tried to watch Ghost for the sake of So Ji Sub a while back and I saw her in that drama. I don't know - something about her really rubs me the wrong way. Thank god she'll be gone soon (the actress I mean). Something else that gets on my nerves is Goong Bok's head band. Why is it there? What's the purpose? It's not like it's keeping his straggly hair out of his face! And why does Yon keep calling him Seo??!? So strange!! Oh my god, he so looks like Johnny Depp!!

My brother compared that girl to a mouse once.

Which brings me to Sageuk Rule #17. The hero will start life as a wretched mess with the worst unkempt hair on the planet. Corollary - having your hair hang down over at least one eye is sexy.

Ha! so I'm not the only one, that's good to know. But then some people find mice cute. I find them repulsive.
lol - But not over both eyes. My hand's always itching for a pair of scissors when I'm looking at him.
