 Snow queen
« Thread Started on Nov 21, 2006, 2:55pm »

I've seen only 2 episodes of this drama but fell in love in first sight. This drama has the absolutly wonderful start and story.
And the music ... it's emotionell.

This is a KBS product so you(living in Chicago) might see this early in next year.

I'll add some info and pics later on.

KBS The Snow Queen

Length: 16 episodes

Cast: Hyun Bin, Sung Yuri, Im Joo Hwan, Yoo In Young

Official sites:
http://www.thesnowqueen.co.kr
http://www.kbs.co.kr/drama/snowqueen/index.html

The Snow Queen is about is about a girl, Bo Ra (role played by Sung Yuri), who behaves arrogantly and cynically like an icy princess. She falls in love with Tae Woong (role played by Hyun Bin) who lives in a third-class boxing gymnasium. This drama is a collaboration between Lee Hyung Min, who produced and directed "I'm Sorry, I Love You", and Kim Eun Hee and Yoon Eun Kyung, the writers of "Winter Love Song". The Snow Queen replaced Cloud Stairway in Korea.

I do hope we get this one in Chicago, I also want to see it. The guy on the left was the cute guy from "Age is Nothing but a Number" He was the best character in that drama.

Thanks for the short summary of the show, knov1. I would like to say that i'm looking forward to this show, but I don't think I can find a detailed summary of it to make a fair judgment. It sounds interesting.. I can't help but think of A Love to Kill when hearing this drama's intro.....

Anyone interested in watching Snow queen online? The advantage of watching it online is you can watch it when you have free time, you can watch all the episoles at one if you wish, you can rewind or forward ... I have the link, if anyone interested.

I hope KBC airs this show soon. Maybe in Seoul 1945's slot since it's ending soon.

That Hyun Bin is quite a cutie. He seems familiar, but when I look him up on Koreanwiz, she says he was in Bodyguard--I don't remember that. He's not listed in the credits for that show, either, on K-wiz. Here's an article she links to:

http://english.kbs.co.kr/entertainment/news/1385136_11858.html

Apparently, he's bumping Joon-oppa in Japan in popularity. (And he looks a heckuva lot more manly in these pics than he does in that article, LOL.)

Bodyguard? I'm absolutely obsessed with that show. I'll have to research that bit further. Hyun Bin does look quite good though, Bo. But, I'd pick BYJ and Bi over him. :) I wonder when we'll get this show.

Since it doesn't look like we will get this one in Chicago I bought it at Family Video. I am only on episode 1 but I can already tell that it is going to be a sad story, but very good. When I finish it I will let you know if it is worth buying, but for now I think it was.

I'm trying not to read this thread, because I'm watching it right now. I'm on episode 4 or 5, it's really, really good. I started watching it yesterday and whipped through several epis in one sitting, it's like a good book--just one more chapter! I was sorry when they "grew up" because the little girl who plays Bo Ra is incredible. That's all I have to say yet.

I bought and watched this early this year, and in my opinion it is definitely worth watching.
However, I had a question about an incident near the end, and never knew where to discuss it. Perhaps after you folks have watched it, it might be brought out.

You do all recognize our bratty friend Sua in the pictures. She does not play that type of role in this movie, though.

I just started this drama, too. The scenery in the beginning is just gorgeous. It looks like a winner so far. I'll let you know when I get to the end.

This is worth watching, I saw it awhile ago and didn't realize that "Sua" was in it. Thanks for the pictures.
