I do not know what is going on with the stupid switch, but I think it is causing more problems!!
Does anyone have kbs on the dish network ?
I went on the site to see what kind of packages they have and I did not see KBS. They have Arirang BTN Jstv Ongamenent Wow-tv
I really want to continue to watch these dramas. Will Kbs still be on channel 41 after the switch? Or will it be available with a converter box? I am having problems with mine. I hate the SWITCH!!! please HELP!!

Not to worry (I think). If you go to Packages > English Programming, KBS World is listed in all the "Classic" packages, as well as the "Everything Pak". Yeah KBS isn't "English programming" (I guess that'd be BBC America ), but, there it is.

PippiBella, I have DISH network satellite, and we do get KBS America as part of our Korean package (it's $ 24.95 per month for the 6 stations, and I had to get an extra dish for it). I've had it for almost 2 years now, so don't know why they wouldn't advertise it as part of the package.

Channel 41 is supposed to stay on the air, as ch. 41. Some converter boxes have "pass through" so they'll still get over-the-air channels by getting off Ch. 3 or 4 that you need for the converter box and going to 41. My old cheap portable in the kitchen won't get off ch. 3, though. Maybe if I unplug the box, but I'm afraid to. My converter box doesn't get 13.1 or 13.2 or whatever it is. So irritating to have these problems.

Is getting the Korean networks (SBC & KBS) worth the extra $$? We have MDU/Dish in our building (which STINKS), and they do not have it as part of the step-up-from-the base package, it's with an upgrade that costs $26 a month. This seems a little steep to me, but if we're getting the stupid cable anyway, I guess it MIGHT be worth $26 a month. I just wonder about how many different shows I might have to choose from in a week's time?
Any of you who have this package with Dish, any input appreciated.
Bo
