Does anyone have the romanized Korean lyric and/or English translation of this song? (Choko?) It sounds like Min and JG addressing each other, but that might just be me.

From Dae Jang-geum:
Sun-dol: "Are you trying to dry me up and kill me? Why do you say the same things over and over every day? Rather, come and hit me once! Aigu!"
But then:
Dr. Lazarus:
"By Grabthar's hammer, by the suns of Warvan... You shall be avenged."

Ashbin, I noticed a couple of errors in your transcription of the lyric from the CD insert (in lines 2 and 3) and they seemed important enough to fix (especially your "words" to "world" in line 3). That's all I did, really - Bo

Here are the English lyrics from the cd insert. There is very little punctuation and perhaps some of the translation seems a tad off, but this is just as it appears:

Icy shades of blue
I've been true to you
Shaped my world on "soon"
Prayed to ghostly moons

Deep and dark it preys
Bleak and stark, in greys
Love's a shark at bay
Til your heart's betrayed

Oh, the curse of men and war
My hero's cry is empty, forlorn
(But) in the silence I conceed (sic)
My heart can't flee
This hopeless dream must be or vanish
Foolish love

Once you promised distant shore
And oe'r the waves you'd lift me once more
Now my pain brings no reward
Your fate's bound and sworn

From afar I wish you near
And with each breath, I tremble with fear
For in spite of how I bleed
My heart can't flee
This hopeless dream must be or vanish
Foolish love

[End segment (sic)]
My heart can't flee
This foolish love

Omigosh! I didn't even look there, once I saw the Hangul (that's the right word, isn't it?) characters! Thanks, Ashbin. (I probably couldn't have read it anyway--I really, really, really need reading glasses...so lazy.)

I wonder how close it is to the original? Sometimes translations can be out in lala-land from the original lyric, due to rhyming and rhythmic concerns.

If anyone has it in Romanized Hangul, however, I'd really, really, like to have that. Really.

The English translation is very different from the original Korean lyrics. I think it was done that way for the better since a direct translation could have sounded quite awkward. Safina's Korean pronunciation is pretty good too if you compare the romanized hangul as you listen to hamangyon. :)

"The English translation is very different from the original Korean lyrics."

Oh, please do translate the lyrics!

And nevermind the rhyme or rythmn.

I never knew that the singer of Hamangyeon was actually not korean.......

His imitation of a korean accent was pretty good... :D

This song makes me cry sometimes... it's so dramatic and makes me think back on the love scenes of DJG, especially when JG and Min separate.. that scene was sooo sad. And also the scene where they come back together again... :)
