That thing that looks like a link doesn't work. Edited to add: Firearrow, if you're looking it up, the street is spelled: Bryn Mawr. That's Welsh for big hill, according to this translation site. mymemory.translated.net/s.php?q=mawr&sl=cy-GB&tl=en-GB&sj=all I've read a lot of versions of King Arthur stories, so the name doesn't look odd to me. Mary Stewart's The Crystal Cave begins in Wales. It's so much fun to read, even the 4th time.

I've gotten the poster to download to my desktop, but I can't figure out how to post it here. I've got a windows machine, it's a .jpg file, anyone have any ideas? I tried copying it from the desktop and copying it in the menu.

Thanks for helping me (us) out, Ducky.
I don't know whether I'll be there or not, knov1. It's so far in the future! Who knows what will be happening then! Not I!

;D Juzt heard Tom Skillin'gs forecast for next week-end. He sas it will be COOL... It's about time that the cooler temmps are here for the K-Festival. For so many years now, it's been steam-bath weather - Hope Mr. Skilling's forecast is correct and we can sit in comfort outside and listen to some K-music etc. It would be nice to see a lot of our board members there - hope so . . .

I usually go for the singing competition. It starts around 7pm on the Kedzie stage. If board members want to meet earlier than that, just let me know and I'll try to be there.

17th Annual Chicago Korean Festival Event: 17th Annual Chicago Korean Festival Start: August 18, 2012 12:00 pm End: August 18, 2012 10:30 pm Updated: August 14, 2012 Schedule: Every 0 days until August 19, 2012 (See all) Venue: 17th Annual Chicago Korean Festival Address: 3200 W. Bryn Mawr, Chicago, IL, United States The 17th Annual Chicago Korean Festival once again comes to the Albany Park Neighborhood to celebrate and promote the Korean community in Chicago. This year, in partnership with the Department of Defense (DoD) 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee, the Korean Festival will celebrate and honor those veterans who served during the Korean War. The family friendly event also includes many activities such as the Advocate Luther General Hospital Korean Festival 5K Run/Walk, a Ssireum (traditional folk Korean wrestling) tournament, a Bboy (Breakdancing) battle tournament, singing contest, McDonald’s Family Pavilion and more. www.centersquarejournal.com/cal/17th-annual-chicago-korean-festival/2012-08-18Here's the schedule, but some activities are only listed in Korean! aigu!: www.chicagokoreanfestival.com/v2/programs/I'm hoping to hear some drumming! In the past, Sundays have been the more crowded day, so I'm thinking of going only on Sat., around noon and have lunch. Yum!! ETA: I just dragged the schedule and the performers' page onto my desktop (no copy/paste needed). So easy. (I have a Mac, if that matters.)

Glad it won't be a scorcher this year. We'll be there on Sat in the afternoon. We'll be browsing around and hanging by one of the the beer tents. Say HI if you see me first!! I am thinking about wearing my K-dest T-shirt from I think 2 years ago. Not sure yet.
